How To Unclog Toilet With Dish Soap

When you are faced with a clogged toilet, instinctively, there’s a certain level of urgency to get it unclogged as soon as possible. And there is no greater annoyance than having to spend a long period of time unclogging a toilet. If you have access to dish soap and hot water, it can be extremely easy, and quick for you to finish this up instead of having to call the plumber.

Now let’s take a look on how To Unclog Toilet With Dish Soap:

Steps On How to Unclog It With Dish Soap

  1. Heat water on the stove between medium and low heat.
  2. Fill up half a cup of liquid dish soap, then pour int into the toilet. It doesn’t have to be specific, but a close enough measurement. Don’t do anything and allow the soap to stay there for 10 minutes.
  3. If the soap has not removed the clog, remove the pot of water from the stove before it begins to boil. Make sure it is close to pooling though: you can notice this occurring because bubbles will start to form on the bottom of the pot/container which shows the water is close to boiling.
  4. Pour out the water into the toilet. If you see the toilet is close to overflowing, try and use a plunger after the dish soap has been allowed to stay there untouched for 10 minutes. This is so that some of the water to go down. Then pour the water into the toilet.
  5. If the clog does not go disappear down the drain automatically, try and plunge the toilet. Make sure to also seal the plunger over the drain hole then push it down and pull it up on the plunger a few more times while retaining a seal. Repeat it once more time with liquid dish soap and hot water if the clog still remains.
